JEWISH CARE’S HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR CENTRE
Holocaust Survivors Centre is a unique centre which offers a programme of social, cultural and therapeutic events.
A fantastic day was had by 85 Holocaust Survivors from the Jewish Care Centre. Despite the rather cold weather, this certainly did not dampen their spirits.
Numerous boat trips up and down the Thames, albeit underneath warm blankets, were taken with some of the Survivors driving the boat under the watchful eye of Captain John.
Two Classical Violinists came to perform for everyone and entertained the group with a lovely concert for half an hour. After lunch, the rain subsided and everyone was able to wander around the beautiful grounds, play a little croquet and relax watching boats going down the river.
A wonderful day was had by all and we look forward to welcoming the Holocaust Survivors back to Millwaters for another truly enjoyable Milly Day.
