CHERRY LODGE 2018

Rosie, Wendy and Cherry Lodge

Just wanted to drop you a line to say thanks again for providing Rosie and myself with such a memorable day last Thursday when we visited with Cherry Lodge.

We were both so relaxed from the moment we walked through the gates. Rosie, as you may remember, hijacked Lola for the first couple of hours, and she never stopped smiling from thereon in!

The gardens are an inspiration - so much thought has gone into them, from the ducks at the bottom of the tree, to the wonderful handmade bench with the mushroom legs. The giraffes topped it for Rosie - whenever we have a hospital appointment in London, we always travel back via Regents Park to stop and look at the giraffes. The rose garden is beautiful and the scent from the blooms was just heavenly.  When I first spotted the sheep in the distance, from the marquee, I thought they were real until I realised that they hadn't moved for sometime!

It was lovely to meet some of your friends - Rosie and Frances hit it off straight away and Frances has asked Rosie to keep in touch.

The icing on the cake for us both was the boat ride. We were the last group of the day and Rosie was able to take the helm for quite a while. Judge for yourself whether she enjoyed it or not - I have attached a few photos - a picture paints a thousand words!

"What can I say – a huge thank you to you all for such a perfect day yesterday- the group that I bought this time had in all different ways many difficulties to contend with and it was just so lovely to see them relax and leave their troubles behind for a few hours. They hadn’t all known each other before but some lovely friendships were made. There were some very tired people on the way home with a lot of napping! One lady phoned up this morning to say the best day she had had in years and a phone full of happy memories of the most perfect day , and the best night’s sleep ever!"
